Ericsson R520m
Year: 2001
Prototype level: Non-Final
Codename: Madeleine

Overview
The Ericsson R520m was introduced in 2000 as a high-end business phone combining GPRS, HSCSD, Bluetooth, infrared and tri-band GSM in a compact candybar design. The model became one of Ericsson’s more distinctive phones of the period, with its metal-look construction and external antenna.
The specimen in this collection is a very rare unreleased Le Mans Blue colour variant. Le Mans was an experimental colour scheme developed for the R520m, with surviving examples also known in green and black/dark grey. None of these Le Mans colors reached commercial production, making them particularly interesting examples of the R520m development programme. The unit in the collection is fitted with an IAT-10 extendable antenna.
