Cell phones that never made it to the market

Phones That Never Were is a private collection dedicated to mobile phones and mobile technology that never quite made it to the market, from cancelled projects and unreleased devices to prototypes, engineering samples, reference platforms and unreleased versions of products that eventually appeared in a different form.

The collection focuses on physical hardware from the 1990s through 2011, devices that were cancelled before reaching consumers, built as platforms for technologies that were still taking shape, or changed significantly during development.
